Sword Briefing

The SWORD solution comprises products and software that together enable you to collect and process data from remote locations, respond to that information, and control your assets.

Communicates from Anywhere

SWORD is designed to transmit data using commercially available wireless networks, including GSM, GPRS, 3G, Satellite and WiFi. Communication is highly efficient, maximising the use of available bandwidth and minimising data costs.

Renewable Power

Operates from a range of solar or wind generators, providing complete autonomy, as well as battery or mains power.

Rapidly Deployable

Independence from installed infrastructure makes a SWORD-based solution quick and easy to deploy.

Ultra Low Power

The remote core module uses less than 2W of power even when transmitting data over GPRS.

Flexible Input/Output

SWORD provides a range of digital and analogue inputs and outputs. Coupled with industry standard serial interfaces this enables SWORD to connect sensors, from simple devices through to video cameras.

Location Aware

The system is fitted with GPS, ensuring that you know where your remote sensors are at all times. GPS also provides an accurate time source for time-stamping data collected.

Accessible Anywhere

SWORD data is accessed securely via the web, on PCs, PDAs and phones with no extra software required.

Capital Purchase or Service?

SWORD is affordable as a product or a service. We are able to provide an end to end solution that is provided in a range of ways, including as a managed service, owned and run by your organisation, occasional rental or "pay per view" systems.
